And it is! Hope so for you as well.
Thanks for your continued interest in what I do. It's a busy time:
-The weather was perfect for the Chestertown Jazz Festival this year! Read about in the Journal post to the right.
-The annual Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival is just about here. I'll be performing, along with Mike McShane, in 2 ensembles, over 6 separate engagements. Read about it in the News Blog post below.
-My new CD release: "In the Spirit of Dave McKenna"
is now available. Read about it in the News Blog, and on my website.
-Speaking of website; the website makeover is near complete (thank you Max Murray
). You should check it out.
That's not all (by a long shot), so check out the newsletter, and see what's up. Thanks for reading.
|On February 27th of last year, I was delighted to be included in the Tri-State Jazz Society's year long solo piano concert series (running in addition to the regular band concerts they sponsor). This year they have consolidated the piano events into their regular schedule, and I am privileged (and again delighted) to return. This time, a change of venue: the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA.
If you're in the Phila/Wilmington DE ares, I hope you'll consider coming out and supporting the Tri-Sate Jazz Society's
efforts (and mine).

Joe takes an uncommon joy in being on stage, always entertaining and informative
Everyone loved your set, not just me.
I have almost worn out your absolutely marvelous Dave McKenna record. You have him perfectly. Reminds me of hearing him at his home base in Boston.
You're a wonderful pianist and it was inspiring to listen to you play.
I listened to the CD this morning. I should have taken notes, there is so much I like in it.
Great, ole boy!
|New (and noteworthy) on You Tube|
And from the video post archive:Glory of Love
This post is from the first performance I recorded, upon opening my You Tube channel. Wound up not having all my ducks in a row with regard to camera placement, and had to settle for the worst possible angle (live and learn). Went ahead with the posting, figuring: "It's about the music, right?". Most (but not everyone) will agree.

The day was just, perfect...
